DESCRIPTION:District: 308Name of the club: Inner Wheel Club of ShimlaDate: 15th August 2026Project Title: Eco friendly models on Independence Day by Vocational Centre studentsProject description:The Inner Wheel Club of Shimla celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm alongside the vocational center students from the stitching and beautician classes.The celebration commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the national flag.Followed by vibrant cultural performances showcasing the spirit of patriotism.There was Eco-Friendly Patriotic Model Competition where 59 student’s competed with each other.Students from the stitching and beautician streams competed by crafting innovative and useful models using recyclable and waste materials\, demonstrating exceptional imagination and artistic skill. \n\n\n\nThe judges PIIWBD Mrs. Renu Baljee\, President Dr. Kusha Pandit Chawla and past President Mrs. Vijaylakshmi Sood faced a challenging task\, as the creativity and dedication put into every eco-friendly model made choosing the best one exceptionally difficult. \n\n\n\n\nKajal from stitching stood first. She Created an intricate and detailed map of India (Bharat ka naksha) using thread embroidery\, showcasing great precision and patience.\n\n\n\nSecond Place was Nikita Sharma a beautician student who built a Red Fort (Lal Qila) out of mud\, beautifully displaying a hands-on\, highly creative three-dimensional structure.\n\n\n\nThird Place winner was Jyoti\, another beautician student who made a creative portrait of Bharat Mata alongside the map of India\, cleverly using rice\, dal (lentils)\, and paints for texture and colour.\n\n\n\n\nTo acknowledge students creativity and hard work\, every participant was presented with a special token of appreciation and gift from the club. \n\n\n\nThe members present for the project werePIIWBD Mrs Renu Baljee\, PDC Mrs. Bhuvan Rana\, president Dr. Kusha Pandit Chawla\, vice president Mrs. Sonia Arora\, immediate past president Mrs. Nirupma Chaudhary secretary Mrs. Ashmita Shukla\, joint secretary Mrs. Priyanka vats and Executive member Mrs. Namita Nag\, Mrs. Raveena Jiandani\, inner wheel members Mrs. Vijaylakshmi Sood\, Dr. Anita Sood\, Mrs Sunita Jain\, Mrs. Navneeta Goel. \n\n\n\nProject category: reduce\,reuse\, recycleBeneficiary: 100Amount: 3807Time spend: 3 hours
