Team of doctors and Nurses came from IGMC Shimla. A total of 50-60 units of blood were collected during the camp\, highlighting the commitment of Innerwheel club Shimla towards social responsibility. Mayor Mr. Surinder Chauhan inaugurated the camp and said that\, “Donating blood is indeed a noble act that can save countless lives. By choosing to donate\, you contribute to a vital resource that hospitals and medical facilities depend on for surgeries\, emergency situations\, and for patients dealing with chronic illnesses.” President Mrs. Nirupman Chaudhary said that\,” Each donation has the potential to save up to three lives\, as the blood can be separated into red cells\, plasma\, and platelets\, each serving different medical needs. It’s a simple process that takes about an hour of your time but makes a profound impact. Consider becoming a regular donor and encourage others to join you in this life-saving mission. Remember\, your small act of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s life.” \n\n\n\nBoth the projects ended up with great enthusiasm. The celebration was an ideal opportunity to instill the value of social responsibility in the people towards safeguarding trees and forests. The focus of the celebration was towards forming a personal connect between the human and trees through a process of experience\, reflection and creation\, carried out through various activities. The members also gave little performance dance on the song greenery (haryali). \n\n\n\nPresident Mrs. Nirupma Chaudhary\, Secretary Mrs. Vandana Sood\, Vice president Mrs. Sonia Arora\, ISO Mrs. Navneet Kaur Virdi\, Editor Dr. Kusha Pandit Chawla\, executive membersMrs. Meera Sood Mrs. Meenakshi Sood\, and Mrs. Ashmita Shukla along with Innerwheel members mrs. Inner wheel has collaborated with Former Principal IGMC Dr. Chaudhary and Assistant Eye Specialist from Grewal Eye Institute\, who will provided the necessary equipment and personnel for conducting the eye check-ups. The screening was conducted during school hours as per principal permission.Inner wheel believe that this initiative will be beneficial for the students as it will help identify any vision problems early on\, which can significantly impact their learning and overall well-being. They were confident that this eye screening program will help students who may be struggling with undiagnosed vision problems\, allowing them to receive timely support and improve their academic performance.The entire golden bond team was the part of the program. Our President explained them the benefits of using the biodegradable Pads and also told them about the mensutral hygiene. DESCRIPTION:𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 : 𝗜𝗡𝗡𝗘𝗥 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗘𝗟 𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗕 𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗠𝗟𝗔 \n\n\n\n𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁: 308 \n\n\n\n𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼: 1295 \n\n\n\n𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 Day: August 15th 2022\,Monday \n\n\n\nProject # 40 \n\n\n\n𝗦𝘂𝗯 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲: Women Empowerment \n\n\n\n𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱:15 \n\n\n\n𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗿𝘆: Women doing courses at the Inner Wheel Vocational centre \n\n\n\n𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲:SHIMLA \n\n\n\nAmount Spent: NIL \n\n\n\nPROJECT REPORT \n\n\n\nProject 40 \n\n\n\nOn Independence day we tried to showcase the role of vocational centres established by IWC of Shimla for women empowerment and skill development . \n\n\n\nThe Vocational Centre on the Mall was established in the year 1972 under the Presidentship of Mrs. Meera Sood ji. It has been running successfully for the last 40 years. It has experienced staff who work under the most able guidance and support of Past IIWPBD Mrs. Renu Baljee ji. There are two more centres run by our club at Bal Ashram near Kamla Nehru Hospital and at Dhalli\, respective. There are mainly two Diploma courses available at the centres namely Sewing and Beautician.The student strength at all the centres together is around 100 in the sewing course and 80 in beautician course. The students attend classes for a period of 12 months and towards the end take exams in order to acquire the professional Diploma. \n\n\n\nOur vocational centres aim at stimulating employment opportunities among women of various socio-economic levels and different age groups. These centres give admissions to women and girl students from within the vicinity of Shimla as well as far off areas. Thus\, enabling both urban and rural women to strengthen their socio-economic status and climbing the ladder of gender equality. \n\n\n\nThe purpose of the project was to highlight and publicize the courses provided at our vocational centres and to provide information to the general public with the help of Print\, electronic and social media. This Project will help us to increase the admissions at these centres so that our club keeps working towards achieving it’s goal of promoting Women Empowerment and women Entrepreneurship.

Students presented a cultural program based on Patriotism. \n\n\n\nSpecial children from Aarushi School of Hope being run under Orchid Prep School also gave a brilliant performance at Raj Bhawan\, Shimla. \n\n\n\nOur executive member and energetic Principal of Shemrock Buttercups school\, Mrs. Umang Banga organised a program to celebrate 75th year of Independence at her school in which children were dressed up as Freedom Fighters and National Leaders.
